Celebrating 10 Years!

10 Years…AMAZING!

On Tuesday, November 29, 2005 – I officially began Maternity Leave for my position at the time.  Prior to my son, Dean, arriving in our world at 5:34pm on Friday, December 23, 2005, I fully intended to return to work.

ALL of that changed as SOON as I held him in my arms.  At that point I began to figure out a way to be able to stay home and raise my son & work on my own terms.

FAITH is what kept me going.  I did not have an earthly idea as to how this would work… but I KNEW it would work.  Thank goodness for not trying to plan what has transpired over the last decade of my families life.  Being open to opportunities that are presented to you – EVEN when then are not presented in a package that your recognize as ‘normal’.

The benefits of being open to opportunities is that you can actually get what you want.  I wanted nothing more to be a Work-at-Home Mom.  Here I am 10 years and going strong!!!

Being a work at home Mom is not AT ALL easy…but it is definitely WORTH IT!  The flexibility to be there for my family and my extended family when they need and still being able to accomplish work for my clients is so gratifying.  Being an Independent Consultant for my clients gives you just that… FLEXIBILITY!

We live in a time where, more than ever, it is possible to have the most flexibility in our work + family lives.  It is so important to pay attention to the opportunities presented to you.  “The World Is Changing.  The Way People Make Money Is Changing.  I’m Just HAPPY I Know It!” – BOSSBABE

We do not know how our lives will play out – just make sure you don’t disregard an opportunity to get what you want because it is not recognizable.

December 2, 2015 marks the 16th anniversary of my Dad passing away…I’m faithful that he is more than proud of me for designing the life that I have for myself and my family.  Defining moments in your life can shape your life.  Take the time to shape it into something you LOVE.
